Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Osama Askar met on Tuesday with Malawi's Army Chief Vincent Nundwe and his accompanying delegation at the Military headquarters in Cairo, where they discussed military cooperation between the two countries.
According to the Egyptian Armed Forces, this meeting came within the framework of the first meeting of the Egyptian-Malawian military committee to tackle aspects of cooperation and expertise’s exchange between the two sides.
The Malawi Embassy Defense Attache Colonel Hilly Magola said that the aim of the meeting was to sign few military agreements that include military cooperation, transfer and exchange of experiences between the armed forces and prospects for joint cooperation between the two countries
In his remarks, General Nundwe lauded Egypt's intensive efforts to support security and stability in all African countries.
On his part, Askar, remarked that the two countries have identical visions toward combating the security threats and challenges that Africa faces, Askar further expected that the talks meet the aspirations of the two nations for further cooperation
Before signing the agreements, Military music was played together with National anthem of both counties and guard of honour was also demonstrated.
